Reach Basketball, LLC
Welcome to the Reach Youth Basketball League Website! Reach Basketball and the Chandler Unified School District (CLUB CUSD) have teamed up to host the 1st Annual Reach Youth Basketball League. The Reach Youth Basketball League (RYBL) introduces 5th and 6th graders, boys and girls, to basic basketball skills such as dribbling, shooting, and passing and it provides instruction and games. Major emphasis is placed on personal values, team spirit, sportsmanship and fair play. Competition is low-key; with emphasis on participation. RYBL is designed to strengthen each participant’s self-esteem, personal relationships and fitness in an atmosphere of fun and excitement.
ELIGIBILITY:
Player must currently be in either the 5th or 6th grade and a registered student in any one of the elementary schools in the Chandler Unified School District. Girls and Boys are strongly encouraged to register early.
REGISTRATION: **REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED**
All players must complete registration either on-line or via mail-in before they will be permitted to practice or play in games. Registration includes game jersey. Payment is required at the time of registration. There are no exceptions to this policy and absolutely NO REFUNDS.

Teams will be determined by practice location and number of students registered for each location. Each team shall consist of no more than 10 players. This will allow for a fair amount of playing time for player on each team. Teams will be formed once the Pre-Registration Deadline has been met.

Each team will practice two times per week. Each practice will be one hour. Players will be notified by their coach prior to the first practice to confirm the time and location. Practices for all teams will begin the week of February 1, 2010. Practice time slots will be on weekdays and will start at 2:50pm, 3:10pm or 6:30pm depending on the assigned practice location. When registering parents should make note of their preferred school and scheduled practice times.
Regular season games are played on Saturdays and will begin on February 6, 2010. Playoff games will be held on March 6, 2010. Playoffs/Championships:

Regular Season:
Practices and games can sometime be cancelled due to weather conditions or special activities occurring in a particular school. If there is a cancellation, either Reach staff or the team coach will notify the players.
RYBL will provide team jerseys for the teams once they are formed. Players must provide their own shorts, socks and shoes.
Since this is our first year it is important that we utilize as many volunteers that are available. Volunteers are greatly needed as coaches, assistant coaches, scorekeepers and timers. Potential coaches or assistant coaches who are not parents or legal guardians are subject to a background check as deemed by the CUSD. RYBL will provide coaches’ training in January, 2010.
