The Reach Girls Flag Football Academy gives young female athletes the opportunity to learn flag football in a positive, challenging environment built around skill development, football IQ, conditioning, teamwork, and character.
Designed for girls in 3rd through 8th grade, the Academy welcomes developing players while challenging experienced athletes to take their game to the next level.
Whether she's learning the sport for the first time or preparing for competitive play, we'll teach her not only how to play the game, but why things happen on the field.

The mission of Reach Girls Flag Football is to build a competitive program that develops skilled, confident athletes and strong leaders who demonstrate sportsmanship, integrity, and a commitment to excellence on and off the field.
Our athletes are challenged physically and mentally while learning the importance of discipline, responsibility, teamwork, respect, and character.
Because eventually the final whistle blows. The lessons they learn shouldn't stop there.
What Will My Daughter Learn?
Flag Football Fundamentals
Learn the rules, positions, terminology, and fundamentals needed to play the game correctly.
Passing & Receiving
Develop throwing mechanics, catching skills, route running, timing, and communication.
Footwork & Agility
Improve balance, acceleration, change of direction, speed, and overall athletic movement.
Offense & Defense
Learn formations, assignments, coverage concepts, spacing, and how each position contributes to the team.
Conditioning
Build the endurance, speed, and athleticism needed to perform throughout a game.

Go beyond memorizing plays and learn why an offense or defense works.

A player can memorize where she's supposed to stand. We want her to understand why she's standing there.
Reach coaches teach athletes to recognize what's happening around them, understand their responsibilities, anticipate what may happen next, and make better decisions on the field.
As players develop, our goal is for their football IQ to grow right alongside their physical ability.
That creates smarter, more confident, more effective athletes.

From Training to Competition
Building the Future of Girls Flag Football at Reach
The Girls Flag Football Academy begins with training and development, but the vision is much bigger.
As the program grows and athletes become ready for competition, Reach plans to pursue opportunities for tournament teams and potentially develop the Reach Flag Football League (RFFL).
That gives young athletes an opportunity to begin with fundamentals and potentially progress into competitive flag football within the Reach organization.

Can a player try a practice before registering?
Yes. We do offer a free trial or introductory session for the Girls Flag Football Academy.
Does my daughter need flag football experience?
No. The Academy combines beginner development with more advanced instruction. Girls can learn the game while experienced athletes continue developing their skills.
What grades can participate?
The Girls Flag Football Academy is currently available for girls in 3rd through 8th grade.
How often does the Academy practice?
Training is held twice each week, on Wednesdays and Fridays from 5:30 to 6:30 PM.
Where is training aheld?
Training is held at ACP Middle School Field at 4025 S. Arizona Ave. in Chandler, Arizona.
How much does the program cost?
The Girls Flag Football Academy is $150 per month.
Is this a league or a training program?
The Academy currently focuses on training and player development. Reach's longer-term goal is to create additional competitive opportunities, potentially including tournament teams and the Reach Flag Football League.
Are uniforms or equipment included?
This will be training so there will be no uniforms required.
What should my daughter bring to the Academy?
Every athlete should bring their cleats, a mouthguard, a water bottle, and their own football.
Can girls join after the session has started?
Enrollment is ongoing. We will be teaching these young lady Ravens the game of flag football until they have mastered it.
