Our staff employs and trains qualified individuals and seasoned coaches to coach players and teams in the various Reach Basketball programs. During camps, in addition to our ongoing senior coaching staff, we bring in junior-level coaches from community high schools to assist in training, which also gives them an opportunity as well to grow into better players, mentors, and coaches themselves. Our senior staff are all USAB Gold licensed and certified.

Terry Jackson
or Coach Terry
Coach Terry Jackson has been with Reach for the past two years and brings more than a decade of experience coaching young athletes. Throughout his coaching career, he has worked with athletes in Pop Warner tackle football, basketball, and flag football, and has also served on the coaching staff of a high school here in the Valley.
Coach Terry's love for football began as a player and has remained a major part of his life ever since. He played high school football in Michigan, where his senior year became a memorable one. Terry earned All-City and All-State honors while helping his teammates capture their school's first and only state football championship.
He continued his football career at the University of Minnesota, where he broke records at the time, earned honors for his play, and helped his team win two bowl games.
Football was Terry's first love, and it continues to be a passion he simply can't seem to shake.
Today, he brings that passion and experience to the next generation of athletes. Coach Terry is CPR and First Aid certified and is currently working toward his degree in psychology.
His coaching philosophy centers around two things every athlete can control: effort and attitude. These are qualities he works to develop in his athletes every day.
Coach Terry wants his players to become problem solvers on the field and to leave every training session knowing a little more about the game of football than when they arrived. His approach isn't based on yelling or screaming at athletes. Instead, he believes in being fair, teaching with purpose, and making sure each athlete understands the game she is being trained to play.
Most importantly, Coach Terry wants the girls he works with to learn the game, grow as athletes, and become the next wave of great football players in the Valley. He is grateful for the opportunity parents give him to coach, teach, and help their young ladies develop both on and off the field.
Devon Speaks
or Coach D.
Coach Devon Speaks, better known to his athletes as Coach D, has been coaching with Reach for seven years and brings 14 years of training experience to the program.
At the heart of Coach D's approach is a desire to develop more than just the athlete. He works to empower the person inside the athlete, helping young people grow into the individuals they have always envisioned themselves becoming.
Originally from New York City, Coach D grew up in an environment where basketball was simply a way of life. For him, basketball was like breathing. Rain, sleet, snow, or sunshine, he played whenever and wherever he could. While he has participated in many different sports throughout his life, basketball has always been his primary sport and passion.
Coach D also spent two years serving our country in the military, where he continued playing basketball.
His training experience extends beyond the basketball court. Coach D has worked with football players as well, helping athletes improve both their footwork and their attitudes. That combination of physical development and personal growth remains an important part of his coaching philosophy.
Now, Coach D is excited to bring his years of coaching, training, athletic, and life experience to the Reach Girls Flag Football Academy. He looks forward to coaching and teaching the girls while helping them develop the skills, confidence, and mindset needed to become the next wave of great football players in the Valley.
